Johan Sverdrup II, onshore
Commissioning of vacuum deaerator. This involved the commissioning of the vacuum skid within an accelerated time frame and completion of the deaerator tower vacuum leak test. Our Water Engineer mobilized promptly at short notice.
2021
Petrokemya Al-Jubail Complex, onshore Saudi Arabia
Full process pre / commissioning of a steam stripper system (strips out dissolved benzene by contacting the water with live steam in a vertical packed tower). This involved the commissioning of the benzene removal package, steam scrubber column and associated pipework & instrumentation. Also carried out was the pre-commissioning and commissioning of pump and motor sets.
Exomna platform, offshore Gabon
Investigations and commissioning assistance with client supplied water engineer injection filtration and deaeration equipment. Detailed report issued to client, based on the analysis of the equipment undertaken.
Triton FPSO, offshore Aberdeen
Installation of client supplied coarse seawater filter upgrade. Water engineer oversaw and assisted with the installation of coarse filter Internals into existing vessel, along with install of vessel extension and of vessel cover with drive assembly.
INNEOS Clipper South Platform, offshore Great Yarmouth
Installation of client supplied proppant removal hydrocyclone internals. Water engineer oversaw and assisted with the installation of two sets of proppant removal hydrocyclone internals.
2020
Liza Destiny FPSO, Guyana
Healthcare rotations. Engineer oversaw operation of SRP Package, providing support to client for routine operation of SRP and Deaeration Systems. Undertook assessment of Media Filter Performance to identify optimum polyelectrolyte dosing to ensure correct quality feed water for SRP membranes and attempt to improve downstream cartridge filter run time. Undertook CIP procedure as required for SRP Membranes, to ensure good recovery to baseline. Reviewed control logic for Media Filters to ensure correct backwash sequencing and operation with variable plant flows depending upon number of SRP Trains online. Provided input for control logic commissioning to ensure integrity of filter and membrane systems.
Mad Dog 2, SHI Shipyard, onshore Korea
Commissioning of deaerator tower. This involved the commissioning of the vacuum skid, completion of the deaerator tower vacuum leak test and overseeing the unexpected modification of the skid pipework.
HAL Offshore, India
Commissioning of DO Tower (dissolved oxygen), Train B & Fine Filters. This involved leak test of DA and vacuum pump runs together with completion of positive pressure test and vac test. MMF commissioning and testing completed, followed by first fill of DO tower, MMF manual backwashing and DO tower testing.
Armada Kraken FPSO, East Shetland basin
Healthcare rotations. Engineer conducted first line maintenance of the SRP, planning and implementing the staged membrane cleaning operation/changeout. Also assisted with the operation and maintenance of the water injection system, to maximise uptime and efficiency, took responsibility for overview of offshore stock of tools and spares and managed the integrity, maintenance and certification requirements for all flexible hoses associated with the SRP. Daily reports issued with data/status of SRP Plant.

Pre-commissioning Dana Western Isles FPSO project, China and UK North Sea
Covering media filters, water injection pumps, produced water hydro-cyclones and Induced gas flotation system- onshore COSCO shipyard Qidong China. Verify mechanical completion, loop testing, clearing punch list items, complete and document all pre-commissioning tasks, power up control system, calibration of control valves, analysers and review Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 software logic and verify process logic via dry-sequence testing. Successfully completing North Sea offshore commissioning phase and final handover to client operations.

Offshore water injection systems re-commissioning a 1450 m3/hr. deaeration unit/vacuum pumps on the Al Shaheen field revamp project. Carryout detailed process analysis, system pipework / vessel vacuum integrity leak tests, performance testing and successfully complete final handover to Maersk operations.

Gas Turbine external filtration skid: removal of existing corroded internal assembly and rebuild the vessel with new upgraded internals as part of the shutdown.

Onshore pre-commissioning of the water injection topsides module SRP (SWRO) nanofiltration plant – equipment: DOW FILTEC SR90-400 membranes and associated pre-treatment equipment, media filtration, dissolved gas O2 removal and electro chlorinator units.
Brunei Shell Petroleum Company – offshore Brunei on the Champion 7
Topsides water flood project carrying out the final commissioning of a water injection module comprising of primary filtration, media filters, deaeration/vacuum pumps, and a Siemens electro-chlorination unit, verify mechanical completion, clear punch list items, complete pre-commissioning, final dynamic commissioning and handover to Shell Brunei operations.

Inspection and re-commissioning mothballed water injection system on the Bluewater FPSO Haewene Brim UK North Sea.
OMV Petrom Oprisenesti project, Romania
Providing commissioning field services and onsite guidance to a team of Siemens Design and Process Engineers whilst being field based on the OMV Petrom Oprisenesti project Romania successfully commission PWT Spinsep Vertical Induced Gas Flotation units and a Monosep high flow filter system.

Songa Offshore, Stavanger, Norway
Based Invergordon Scotland June 2014 to Nov 2014 Responsible for setting up a NORSOK compliant multi-discipline Completions Management System (CMS) for managing the 5-year interval yard stay of a semi-sub drilling rig, providing a complete system of procedures/ documentation to verify and document mechanical completion and commissioning. Liaising with the client Statoil and Songa Lead disciplines to ensure the verification and test plan (VTP) is completed and signed off to allow rig to resume drilling in the North Atlantic Basin.
